    Thank you, Holy Spirit, for being with us. Thank you, Father, for the gift of your salvation borne and made manifest by your perfect Son in stripes and bruises and curses. Open our hearts this day to your Word, Lord, that it may go forth with us into a broken and dying Christ-rejecting world. Help us, Holy Spirit, to not only bear your light but to BE it to those who remain in darkness this day. May this prayer, submitted humbly, be pleasing to you, Lord.

    Bless the men and women of this group on this day, a day you have given us to serve you. Help us to keep you and your eternal kingdom first in all things we pray.

    We have several needs in our area...
    A co-operator's wife is recovering from pneumonia, she was in ICU...
    Another co-operator is having surgery Jan 23rd... (co-operator = works in depth with me)
    A co-worker I've known for about 35 yrs is starting radiation and chemo for 3rd stage lung cancer...
    A young man I've known for a few years, 23 yrs old, had Afib, heart attack the other day, he survived, now has pace maker...

    We have a gentleman (a real gentleman and a great guy) on the forum who doesn't post much and even then is mostly active in the private conversations. He goes by the name of blacksmith. His name is Joe and he lives near Scotty in PA. He has been to our place several times attending our GTG's and has also brought his son Caleb who is just as nice as his father.

    This week Joe made a post on our private conversation and he has given me permission to post it here. It is extremely sad and I humbly ask everyone to add this to their prayer list. Thank you.


    "Most of you know my youngest son Caleb who was recently engaged and is scheduled to be married this Aug. He is very private and really doesn't want people to know. But everyone on here is family.

    Here's the bad news.......his fiancé Hannah Roesch has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and they are going to remove it.

    Her surgery is scheduled for the end of January the day after Caleb's birthday.

    She has also been diagnosed with some other medical condition that's NOT related to the cancer, that has to due with her kidneys and she's undergoing surgery for that in February.

    THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HEARING ME OUT AND FOR YOUR PRAYERS!"

    Please keep my Vietnam Vet neighbor, Terry Miller in your prayers. He was flown to the VA hospital in Augusta, Ga yesterday with congestive heart failure

    I find myself in need of more prayers. My bone surgery has been postponed because of a more serious condition. I have blood in my urine but there is no infection and no pain. I'm waiting on appointments for cancer testing. I'm trying me best to put it in God's hands. I am scared though.
