One year ago today was the last time I saw Judy alive. I kissed her just before she fell asleep and stayed with her. She passed away the next evening. That was 4 Hellish years ago. RIP Judy. I still love you and always will.

thescratchylens I delivered firewood to a woman a couple weeks ago. We had an… interesting chat. One thing she showed me was this book that she had already promised to someone else. I took a picture of it anyway. Maybe it’s meant for you?

Thank you; she’s been doing that for a while now. Mostly vegan, really. Some animal proteins (organic eggs, wild caught fish) but mostly cancer-fighting veg’s.

Ps Eric, the more I learned about US medicine’s approach to cancer (and food) the darker my demeanor got. I am sure there are success stories out there of US oncology getting people to lifelong remission, but I haven’t heard many.

And likely no success stories at all of lifetime remission IF the patient wasn’t encouraged to make some radical changes to their habits and lifestyle to alter the ‘cancer environment’.

Anyways, I don’t want to hijack a thoughts and prayers thread (we need the prayers though!) too much.

We have learned a lot over this year and I am happy to share more in pm’s.

God bless and keep you all.

    Off to work!

I have a DIL fighting cancer. She too went on special diet. So far, so good. I also have a son who had cancer (we were told to prepare for the worst) back in the late 80's. No special diet. So far, so good.

Prayer for a rural deputy shot late last night while checking a car on a remote county road. Orange County, IN. County where French Lick is located.

he was likely the only deputy working, and State Police rarely are out after midnight. Must have been a lonely feeling laying wounded knowing help might come from a town Marshall miles away.

So sad to hear. May he rest in peace with no more pain.

It is sad that so many, as they age, they fall and break a hip. Then life gets cut off quickly. I've lost friends that way. The last one fell one evening. Went in hospital and then moved into hospice. It wasn't 12 hours then before he passed away.

Very very common unfortunately. Here in Rock County, WI, my office issues those death certificates because complications following falls/injuries are classified as accidents (usually, depending on the circumstances).

Especially as we get older, some risk aversion becomes necessary. Like getting up on roofs unless it’s really necessary, etc. For me, 55 ain’t the new 35. 55 is 55, and I don’t knit up as quick as I used to, for sure.

May God rest your friends and give His peace to you that passes all worldly understanding, Mr. Savage.

All it takes is falling off the roof once to know not to do that again. Ask me how I know:whistle:
