Definitely some interesting saw work going on. Looks like multiple people had a hand in dicing these trees up. Some end cuts are perfect, some are all over the place.
Pretty much my first thoughts as well. The driver showed up and barely spoke English but was super friendly. I gave him a $20 cash tip. He tried explaining that there was more wood at the site and I was able to blurt out “Mas? Si!” so between his broken English and my broken Spanish I secured the second load.
Well congratulations are in order. First for the YS "award"and second for all that beautiful red oak. You weren't kidding in the text. Id be texting all my wood buddies with a load like that. Sure beats scrounging roadside huh?
When i rains it pours, right Eric? Some nice loads and makes me wish I had a yard that is dump truck friendly.
Half Polish. Just found out recently my paternal grandfather was from Belarus and my paternal grandmother was from Austria Hungary. I used an online translator to say that in Spanish.
Not as many logs as I was hoping for but there’s still a lot of wood here. These stumps will all have to get noodled into ugly chunks and huge square overnighter blocks because of the root flares and crazy grain inside. Fine by me
