    Now that's funny!

The other day, basement temps were 61. I got it up to 74 that day and can say it was too hot for my tastes.

Yes, I was thinking about Backwoods Savage and how he would fire up due to 74 being too cold! :picard:  :rofl:

Stayed above freezing on yet another overnight!

33/68 with no need for a fire. The one I built yesterday was another of the "one and done" variety.

37 and drizzling. Burning white oak low and slow so as to not cook ourselves out of the house.

22*/64* burning Maple and Oak. Warmth that is coming is going to melt our 5" of powder, not happy.

I have to search for box elder in this year's stacks, or lower BTU wood. All this honey locust is great wood, but it can get really choochin in here quickly. Then it's unexpected nap time due to the tropical temps.

45/77° now. Ash in the quadrafire and the stove blower off.

Warm temps in the stove room does promote naps. Had one after lunch today. Very refreshing.

Let the fire go out this AM. Had light rain that didn’t last long. Now re starting with 24” splits of CO and a wax starter.

56/40. Switched to black walnut cut out of the tops left by the loggers. Really cruddy wood in my opinion.

39/67 elm and spruce, let the fire basically go out last night as I thought it was supposed to warm up. Resurrected it from a pretty small coal pile.

I've been using shorts, uglies, and 16" splits of cherry, elm, soft.maple, spruce etc to keep from being cooked out. Usually only 2 or 3 at a time its been working pretty good.

Perfect carbon copy of this here as well.
Just want enough to knock the dampness out of the house.
Looks like a day for indoor work , so in other words there will probably be more calories consumed than in a normal day.
Stuck inside so what to do = eat.

We've had so much mild weather I'm starting to run out of shorts and uglies that are ready to burn.
