Caffeine! Going to have to bring some firewood in this morning while getting a workout done. ( 6 now but going up to 24. ) Then, when it warms up a bit this afternoon, I’ll get some outside work done. Hope all had a great Christmas. We took some time to relax and do almost nothing but visit yesterday, watching a movie, and have a couple cold ones before a Turkey Dinner.

560 square feet, looks to have plenty of room for most people's needs. A sensible little home, not a flashy McMansion.

All that's missing is an 800 square foot garage

I’m going to need a hook knife to finish this out. It’s won’t be the worst. The wood was split a couple weeks ago which didn’t help. Probably won’t throw it in the wood stove.

Maybe put it on Etsy as an artisan handmade spoon. 99.99.

That's the other use for it. My wife got the wooden spoon from her mom growing up. Guess who broke that wooden spoon over her knee when she grew up and had enough of that abuse?

I got my new o ring and upper radiator y pipe replaced this afternoon on my F-150. Both the o ring and the y pipe had updated Ford part numbers, so it's possible that the y pipe was changed to be better as well as the I ring that was definitely changed because it was an actual o ring now.

That original o ring wasn't really an o ring. It was a flat faced ring gasket that should've been an o ring. Pretty easy fix really, but getting the drain hose hooked up to the radiator drain was far more difficult than it should've been.. also the hose clamp on the engine hose neck gave me trouble getting the old one off, and the new one on, despite that new one locked on should have been easy to lock down. Whatever, it's all good now. I flushed a couple of gallons of the orange antifreeze and put in the new yellow type antifreeze in. Once filled run though and received up to get any air out, the yellow new antifreeze in the overflow tank turned essentially back to orange as the block wasn't flushed. It's all compatible, so it's fine. Maybe I'll flush I'll out in summer and get all yellow antifreeze in the system then?

Having just turned 100,000 miles I will change the serpentine belt in Spring, along with the tensioner

Phew, almost done with fixing the aftermath of all this today, 4 weeks later :picard: Last thing for me is they misprinted the expiration date on my debit card  I never thought once that it was typed in manually, wild. Now I know my correct expiration date so I can use it

Thank you to those that wished me a fast recovery. I appear to be healing well. I have a 4# weight limit and no vibrating tools order which prevents me from doing any firewood work. Makes feeding a fire pretty difficult. I have to pick the smaller oak pieces.

My kids bought me this shirt for Christmas.

Had a couple hours of work for the day job this morning and took the rest of the day off.

Replaced part of the AC clutch in the beater car. The electromagnet worked fine and the pulley looked OK but the clutch was shot. I'll try replacing just that and see if it works. I only need a few more years out of that car anyway.

Also pulled the air intake and cleaned the throttle body and idle control valve to try to improve idle. Seems to have helped.

After I got done wrenching I made a custom linen closet door. Doing it for my BIL and it's getting painted so I used whatever I had laying around the shop. Found some sassafras and ACX. Sassafras is my favorite wood to work with. Light, doesn't saw burn, low tension, sands easy, and smells like root beer when you cut it.
