It’s an odd business, imo anyway. People will tell me it’s great wood and they will definitely buy again and I never hear from them again. Mexis have picked up selling firewood too. I’m still crushing it. Delivered to 4 today and I’m wondering if I should dial it back some to maintain consistent year to year inventory level.

The nobody home guy said its the best wood he has ever burned after many years with a stove. This would be his fourth year buying BL. Retired cop and very low key easy going. Id hate to sell the wood I set aside for him and suddenly he calls!

Another regular buys 4-5 half cords (not BL) texts back in November. I couldn't deliver that weekend and he said he gets home after dark during the weeks so I assumed he wanted it the next weekend. Texts and calls went unanswered so I did a drive-by as he's very close and a cord of wood stacked up. I'm like WTH!
I think some get spoiled as I can deliver within a day or two and with society wanting everything yesterday, he said sayonara.:hair: I liked this guy too as my lesser quality (too weathered, loose bark etc) wood went to him.

I don't hold wood for anybody. List it for sale, first person with money gets it.

If I sold wood, I'd hold some back for regulars that pre-paid a percentage of full delivery. What % is debatable.

You're doing great, Brad. That's some nice loads you're delivering.
Hope you can find more BL to restock the inventory.

Another cord out today to same customer in post #220 above. Ground froze up and he said whenever I can bring more it was up to me. He will more than likely get another cord before Winters end.

If my tally is correct that makes 4.5 cords this year so far.

Not much leftover space on those loads!
