This is the choices with bar/chain combos. It didn't give an option for chain. Only said full chisel chain included. I just acquired that 30 year old stihl, don't know yet if it will hang with a wild thing or not.

Full skip will cut a bit slower, bottom line. I only use it on my 42". My ported 394 pulls 36" full comp no issues, I get no cogging of chip, which is the reason skip is made. I'm never cutting softwoods though.

Drug this home. BIL is cleaning out the his shop. Had this for a few years now, he never liked it. He said it never ran right. It's only had a few gallons of fuel run through it. He recently bought a Stihl MS250. Guess I'll tinker with it and see if I can get it to run. I don't know anything about the auto tune system. Any tips or suggestions to look at is appreciated.

There's a video somewhere on this forum that shows the AT reset procedure. I have the Husqvarna version of it. It runs great.

I'm one of those guys. But only if it's my saw. I'm not one of those guys that tell others how to run their saws. It's theirs to run as they choose.

I'll do my best to have loose chains in all my saw pics going forward.
