Fresh load of ash on just a few coals. Nice mild weather to let the stove go overnight and really burn down to nearly zero. Looks like a few nights of colder temps on the way.
Almost Xmas! Holy smokes where does time go:rolleyes:

I started the humidifier yesterday. 65 didn't feel as cool as it did yesterday morning......inside air is already gaining moisture! :handshake:

30/72 - Took the day off work to get some
final things ready for Christmas. Just reloaded with a 50/50 mix of locust and catalpa. Should throw off some good heat and coal fairly well.

70% Ash and 30% Pine mixture. It is starting to feel like winter.

Some more snow fell that I can push around with the shovel. Gonna have to plow one of these days too.

    100% hedge in the boiler.

Selling some mixed honey locust and hackberry this weekend for fireplace use.

Plan to cut hedge this weekend. The pasture clearing continues.

Delivering loads to my dad (hedge) and my father in law (hackberry) for Christmas.

We got about 6 inches yesterday. Did the snow blowing this morning. Looks like we will have a white Christmas but the snow will be starting to melt.

Did they request locust for an open fireplace?

Well at least you’re posting below freezing. Probably feels great, no?

Warmest winter since I parked it here permanently in 2013. 180* turn from winters of -20* for weeks at a time. I dig it!

Yes. It feels pretty darn good. I just hope January and February doesn't make up for all this warm weather.
