A WAR EAGLE! Son is a freshman and in the AUMB so we will be attending an upcoming game. Can't wait to experience this stadium with 87k + enthusiastic fans.

AUMB- Auburn University Marching Band. Wish he was recruited, but he did audition for the drumline and was successful. Proud Papa here.
Well the trip went great! Got to spend some good time with my son. Got to have one of everything fried. Got a salad the first thing when I got home! Got to experience my first college football game. I am not a big football fan, but given the environment and affects this team has on the school and the town, I am all in now. We went to the homecoming/parents weekend game, which I think is by design a winning opportunity. No offense to Lou Tech, but they were not predicted to be a hurdle to the Auburn Tigers. Tailgating, barbecues and great folks for miles from the stadium. We met a gentlemen, his wife and their dogs one afternoon at a marina restaurant. They were very friendly, spending a good 15 minutes talking and laughing with us as they awaited their pizza order. We mentioned our son was on the drumline for Auburn and this fellow commended him for the accomplishment. His buzzer went off indicating the pizza was ready, so he went off to pick it up. Upon his return, he wished us good luck and welcomed us to Alabama. He then placed a buzzer on the table and said as a southern hospitality he had picked us up another pizza. "Roll Tide, War Eagle!" he said with a smile and off he went. Stunned us. One of the nicest things a stranger (hate that term for this occasion) has ever done for me/us. The entire trip was great and I will return again. Tigers are up to #2 now. Miss State this Saturday. 2 vs 3. Cool..........
