Finished framing the 2x4 stake sides and ends and loaded and stacked the trailer . Got done by 10 pm .
Long day for me anymore .

The trailer has 140 cf on it .
Lord willing we will make it to Fairbanks with it all before noon tomorrow. Been freakishly warm the past 2 days . 10 to 20 below would be nice for the drive . Snow in the forecast .

There ya go Andy. This fella lurks but won’t make an account. 2 year old ash. He does decent for running a husky and a Chevy. Double trouble. Resized_20241213_103840.jpeg

Let’s try this delivery stuff again (I investigated the crap out of this potential buyer this time around ) Black locust, ash, white oak, red maple and a little beech and black birch. I can’t see how this guy wouldn’t be happy (his furnace quit so he’s forced to use his insert for a few weeks)

Nice load Andy. Appears you'd fit right in here.
If that doesn't satisfy, not sure what would! :dex:

I left this red oak round here over a month ago and nobody helped themselves to it.

Cut and roll, mind the pickup.

I’m glad I left when I did. A couple of slippery characters were headed into the access road when I was heading out. They weren’t headed back there to read bible verses.

He would if he’d shower a lil more often but it’s still a free country.

Thanks, the buyer was definitely happy. He had been burned buying wet wood in the past and knew what he was getting this time around.

Good to see your firewood is properly dried, so that its ready to burn efficiently with good heat.

HEAVY load this morning. Delivery scheduled for 11am. Ash up front, then black birch and beech, plus some white oak and black locust thrown in. Customer has a Jotul insert so he should be happy with this mix.

Took Tippy to my hometown as we've always had great luck with local farmers. Now it's closer for Sandhillbilly

Constitutional carry. Only reason to have a permit now is for reciprocity out of state. Having to pop off some rounds at a couple tweakers is not on the top of my to do list. Much rather not if it can be avoided.

I wouldn’t go out there without carrying. Never felt unsafe but my safety is my responsibility.

Truth be told they probably wanted less to do with me than I did them.
