I had one of those a few years ago. Ended up being my boiler in the basement has a fire/carbon monoxide detector connected to it. Apparently it was announcing it was seven years old and it wanted to be replaced. Nearby was a can of insulating spray foam. Got the cover off the detector, found the little noise-maker on the circuit board and gave it a nice retirement Winter blanket. Rumor has it if you go in my basement and you stand very still and quiet you can hear a very faint beeping once every minute.

Just went through all of those and changed batteries in October. I wouldn't have any trouble with those as they scream really loud!!!

I don't think it's the vapor fire, but I'll check it out tomorrow morning......again.

At any rate, once 99 lbs got out of bed, she could not hear anything. And then gives me "that look".

You know, the one that says:

    No beeping this morning.

    Maybe it was the fridge.

There was an alert for the water filter lit up and I re-set that. The beeping continued without me being able to locate it but it was so faint that by mid morning, it was forgotten about.

    Dang hearing loss anyway!

Caffeine! My son believes his interviews went very well yesterday. Excited for him. Not sure when he will hear, but they told them as early as next week. Time to get a few things done before getting ready for the workhouse.

Working down the honey-do list before we have Christmas dinner at our house this year. Been a lot of ankle biters that I've put off for a long time. I'm probably going to get it all done in time.

I can tell you that I have been in each of those pots at different times. So much depends on what led to me being in the situation.
There were times I just wanted to dump the pot out. My faith in our Savior prevented that. I also sought professional help. Whenever you find yourself drowning in defeat, seek help. There is no shame in praying or seeking professional advice.

This time of the year, I stay away from my coworkers with young children.

    They are always sick

Today is my 65th birthday, so I began it with putting my Medicare card in my wallet. Saw a movie with a buddy- Tuesday is six dollar day. We watched The Return , which is an account of the king of Ithaca finally returning from the battle of Troy.

sadly, a friend passed away today. She is much older than I , but was one of those unique people that left a hole. A retired archeologist professor who spent a lot of time on Native American mounds in southern Indiana. Was a long time member of our county council and a great ally during my terms as Sheriff.
She and her husband were outdoors people who ate waterfowl and venison that her husband harvested. She hailed from Arizona, and had a college singing group that included one or two of the Rondstats. Linda was much younger than them.
A great lady any of you would find some common bond with.

Tomorrow I meet with my financial planner. Let’s see how that goes….. enjoy your days Hoarders each is a gift .

Woke up at 4:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep. Ugh. Oh well. Maybe a catnap later today when it’s raining. Day off. Time for some caffeine, and in a bit, some early morning exercise.

Coffee tastes extra good this morning. I cut back to drinking it once, maybe twice, a week. I got tired of feeling like I needed it just to survive the morning. The first couple weeks sucked but I feel great now, and coffee it a nice treat every once and a while.

UPS man is bringing me a couple things today so I can finish up a few items on the honey-do list. Slot cutting router bit for some picture frames I'm making...LED strip lights to replace the ones under and over the kitchen cabinets. The LED lights get tired and need replaced every 3-4 years.
