I have some catching up to do. I just cracked my second.

Bought a riding mower off Craigslist tonight. I wanted something to have up north, mostly for sucking up leaves this fall. I'm now the proud owner of a Snapper rear engine rider. Runs like a top, has the hi-vac blades and a bagger. That critter should suck the leaves and acorns right off the ground and annihilate them. My parents had one when I was a kid. Only one problem. No beer holder. Probably for the best, as it would be kinda hard to hold a beer and steer with the handlebars.

The guy I bought it from heats with wood and had a nice pile of cherry he was splitting, a few cords stacked outside and a couple Husky saws. I told him about the site. Hopefully he joins.

Stopped at #3 and woke up after the game was over. After a 13 hour shift and waking up at 3:45am, it is what it is.....
Last I remember was the Giants was pulling away with the game. The joys of getting old and tired.

Saw the bone doctor last Thursday. I've been since mid Feb. with this leg pain and very limited mobility. He now says my knee is bone on bone and needs go be replaced. But not until I loose about 80 pounds. Hard to loose when I can't move much. I did the physical therapy thing. Now I've joined the local Y and do about 45 min. three to four times a week in their pool. Loosing that weight is a long haul. I though the last seven months was enough hell. There are injections I haven't tried. I was doing ok until that fall on the stairs. Depressing.

My mom is going through the same thing. She had a full knee replacement done in the late 90s and a partial done in September 2001. Her partial needs to be redone to be a full replacement. The cortisone injections help, but only for a short while.

Prayers are with you Larry. You'll pull through it.

Worked on the house today, took some stuff back to HD, bought more stuff we needed for the addition. Installed the outside lights and light for the closet, needed to get in the new bathroom to figure out some wiring but brother in law was grouting the shower (finally !) and didn't want to slow him down with me in there. Son found an area of rotted wood and sheetrock under the air conditioner that had to be fixed, so we fell behind a little more yesterday.
I did find some paint that matches the new e2 pretty well so I painted the grates for the old heatalator fireplace. Wifey is pretty happy with them. Can't wait to fire her off , but I have to do a little work with the liner and adapter and son has to pull liner up to allow me to do that and with the temps here today I put that on the back burner. Little more work has to be done in the addition before the rug is installed on Thursday. Son gets married on 10/18 and this room has to be ready for family from way out of town.. We are stressing a bit, but we will git r done !!

    Doggy
