Yes it is a 500i. Love it. My highest CC saw at 79. Was running it with a 25" bar today and it sliced through a 40" red oak log no problem.
I know Kaitlin (Tree Being ) really likes her's. She had it juiced up . It pulls a 42 " bar in redwood just fine . . I don't really look at Stihls anymore , to buy new because they won't sell heated handlebar saws in Alaska. The dealers can't even Order them for customers. I'm not overly enamored with the 572 Husky. But mine did have full wrap heated handles and carb . I can put up with its odd power band if my fingers are warm .
one I too wish for some Locust, however it was all from the same Maple tree. I will need for it to weather some before breaking out the splitting axe and splitting maul.
Did someone say honey locust? Not a loaded truck picture but did get transported by truck. 3 totes from a job I did this year. Now a Christmas gift for a dear friend Edwin (wood Doctor on OPE). I surprised him today when he paid me a visit.
First delivery of the season. This customer is getting a mixed load of ash, red maple, and white oak, with a little beech, black birch and sugar maple thrown in.
I’m feeling like I’ve gotten a good shellacking from that Rick fellow today. My “customer” ended up being a scammer. Long story short, I had to bring all that wood back home and unload it under my deck. He emailed me with some BS asking if he could come to my place and pick it up, so I said sure and gave him the address to the local police department. No surprise that was the end of our correspondence.
Well that sux...should have given him the address to a gas station that sells bundles (bonus points if you are the supplier of said bundles!)
I delivered this to the lady that flagged me down during our town festivities on Thursday. Can’t see it with the top on but the tote is a little past level full, (rounded?) and they measure out to be about 1/3 cord. But it’s not stacked tight, more like strategically tossed. And then shorts and nuggets packed in whatever space was left after 2 rows of splits across the front of the bed. So is it crowding a 1/2 cord?
