theburtman it appears we are the first to be up. Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Belated Thanksgiving to hoarders in the North.

activated the coffee maker and headed into a cold dark morning to add some wood. We have a hundred mile trip ahead of us, so I will top the boiler off before leaving.

had some good rain late last night, so I was pleased with myself that I added more splits to the woodshed and taped it all in. Rest of the week is cool but no rain.

enjoy your holiday and reflect on what has been blessings, through the tribulations. My wife is still on good recovery with her leukemia. every checkup is lower numbers toward remission. So close, we expect that to be the news next week.

relax and enjoy this day, you hoarders. The wood can wait.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY. 67°/69°, just heard thunder and the rain started. May have some winds with it.
Miz Carol is cooking a small meal, our son is supposed to come by, daughters had other plans. I'll be napping this afternoon, couple more nights to work, life of a calciner operator is kinda like a nurse or Dr at a hospital. Only 4 of us at work tonight.
Remember things to be thankful for...
I'm very thankful for JESUS, my savior.
My health and family.
I'm especially thankful for my FHC family, y'all help me keep my head on straight.

I finished the job safely but when I was almost finished, I realized that I hadn't told campinspecter what I was up to. He was a little surprised when he found me to ask me something.

 

Morning all. Overcast and cool this morning. No rain predicted but it sure feels like rain.
Still have to finish that sidewalk but I have cooking to do today for Sabbath potluck. Fired the boiler by myself and it went well. Just put the second load in and that should be it for today.
We went and got vaccine shots for Covid and flu this morning. Dr. appointment this afternoon.
Who said retirement was time to take things easy? Huh?

Sourwood wonderful news about your wife's remission. God does answer prayers.

You all are a little late in the season as Thanksgiving was a month ago but still I will wish you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving day. Stay safe. We are enjoying the football games.

 

MAYBE YOU'VE NEVER THOUGHT OF THE TEN LEPERS IN THIS WAY
I'm sure that all of the ten lepers that Jesus healed were "thankful" in the sense that they were joyful that they were healed. However only one of them actually GAVE thanks.
So often today we too are "thankful" for the things we receive from God, but do we actually give thanks? So just remember it is ThanksGIVING Day. Not Thankful Day
