Hey, when you need a rest, you take what you can get!

They are completely exhausted when things like that happen. I have been able to walk right up and touch them.....they are really vulnerable in that state.

Nasty weather today. 32, super windy, and going back and forth between rain/sleet/snow.

Got up early and lit the shop stove and got final coat of poly on the pantry project. Should get warm enough for it to dry by this evening. Just need to mount the doors and that's done.

Got final coat of poly and 2/3 doors mounted on the pantry cabinet. Last door has one of those bar door hardware kits. Never installed one before so need to take my time and not make any mistakes.

Going to sit in a tree tonight and see if I can't get some groceries.

Not sure what all is in store for the weekend.

Our water come from the well clear,,, let it sit and the iron oxidizes so it turns brown,,tastes like iron,,,

If the price wasn't more than I can spare right now, I'd take this 2005 F-150. Similar to the 2004 I once had, but super clean, 34K miles, and 8' box.

Our Water Boss softener is quite effective at removing iron when using the iron out salt (green bag)

I ended up doing a little research and figured out what i was thinking. Softener works but is not the most effective at removing large amounts of dissolved iron. There's some other contraption for that. I didn't do any further reading on it.

Maybe an Iron Curtain? My water is terrible with iron, stinks and turned whites to rust colored until the contraption went in. No salt or chemicals, flushes every other night. Been using it for 27 years without a problem. It also removes arsenic which binds to the iron, double duty.
