Morning all. Day dawning with sunshine this morning. It was sunny for most of the day yesterday. Rain forecasted for tomorrow.
Laundry and housecleaning today. I have to make soup for potluck tomorrow. Lots to do.
Watched the Eagles pull off a win last night. I didn't think they could do it after the way they played in the first half.

MikeInMa As you look for a long term care facility for your dad, you may want to see if there are different levels of care places. When my mom needed to go into an assisted care unit, she was in a place that had a limited amount of personal care. As she aged, she needed more care and had to go to another unit that provided more hands on care. She eventually had to go to a nursing home. As the amount of care increases, so do the costs. At least that is how it was here in WI.

Nice day ahead. 39⁰/60⁰ sunny. Bright full moon now.

I have a few errands this morning before taking mom to see dad.

My SIL and husband are arriving today to stay with us through Thanksgiving. They'll spend the upcoming week, daytripping to his side of the family. Next Friday, the four of us will travel to Cape Cod for a week at our timeshare condo. A quiet, low-stress Thanksgiving, hopefully. We're planning to roast turkey breast there, with a few sides.

Morning all. Wet, cold and windy this morning. Dark morning as well. Another Pacific storm making its way across the coast.

Do you love me? Asked Jesus of Peter. Jesus asked Peter the same question three times. Peter’s answer the last time was “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love you. Finally, Jesus said to Peter “Follow me”. Peter then knew in his heart that Jesus had forgiven him for the three times he denied knowing Jesus.

How many times have we denied Jesus? More times than we would like to remember. Jesus is patient and understands all of our weaknesses. He bids us to come to him and rest our sins and defeats at his feet.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11: 27 - 29

Prepping a couple chunk totes, giving one to a friend, he has installed a stove in his house, we have a pallet bin of 3+yr old oak pieces.
We also need another tote for hickory chunks

My wife's sister and her husband arrived yesterday, from costal NC. We're hosting an open house this afternoon for people to come and visit with them.

My brother will be arriving from Maine this afternoon to assist with dealings surrounding our dad. He'll be around for a few days.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. 45°\70° clear.
Another 7PM-7AM night done, heading to church this morning, then again. Couple more nights to work.
Our friend came over, helped build the totes, loaded one with the dry oak chunks...
He built a small fire to begin with...
He found out about opening the windows with the 1st fire in a new stove...
Later he added more wood and had a nice fire going...
He's a new wood burner.

Tom and I went out and cut a few cedars for a guy yesterday.....got to run my freshly ported ms241.
Planning to mill em Tuesday, then build his patio roof outta the lumber.

We rented the power equipment, it's totally worth the $200 extra to get the better results, plus it saves a ton of back busting labor.

 

Morning all. Respite from the downpours yesterday. Sunshine this morning amid the showers. Forgot my Bible and phone at the church yesterday so we made a quick trip up there this morning to retrieve them.
Bookkeeping and Grey Cup (CFL) football watching today.

T.Jeff Veal Miz Carol must have been pretty pleased with the game last night. We watched the last half of the game.
