Indeed there is a big difference between Kentucky and Wisconsin when it comes to heating. btw Ralphie, I kept looking for you at Walt's.
So did I! The last 2 years have be really nutz and 3 before we're just nutz. Long story. I'll keep trying until I make it, so don't give up on me quite yet!
Enjoy….. These 2 pictures are different angles of the same pile/stack. These 2 are of the same stack. I have at least 2 full semi loads of wood not pictured, but it is for milling, but it could be used for firewood if needed.
Isaac, I wonder why you hace some wood completely covered rather than just top covering? I will add I love seeing anyone who puts up large amounts of firewood. You do great!
My brother gave me his old truck tarps. The picture you quoted used to be as big as the tarp and was only top covered, but we used a bhnch last year so the tarp got folded back. The wind this year keeps blowing it down so I just left it.
2 more loads yesterday. The trailer brakes got weak on the way home so we tore them down and replaced them today. We were going to go get a massive load of wood after fixing the brakes, but my brother’s other trailer had some bearing issues, so that one will get torn apart tomorrow. The one trailer has seen very little or no maintenance in it’s 20+ years, and the other one is probably 40+ years old and we have no idea what history it has, other than it has been in the family for at least 30 years. The trailer pictured is a 7 ton/14,000 lb equipment trailer. I am hoping to go get the conveyor tomorrow.
I’m already there. 10 years, working on 20. I am supposed to go get another ~20 cord this week, as estimated by the guy with the wood. Might be more, might be less.
Darn trees are in the way for most of it, but here are pictures I took from the roof today while working on the chimney. Sorry they are not better.
