Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 50°\65°, clear. 1st night of work done, 6 more to go. Planning to do a little tractor maintenance, replace 2 broke pins on the loader and solder a new 3rd function valve button on joystick. Got a long chain that needs a touch up as well.

Had a campfire at my cousins farm last night.
Woke up this morning to see this off his deck.

Nice view. Nice deer too.

 

He had three people call him yesterday asking about hunting on the land. He doesn't hunt ( but he has a freezer full of venison from the people he let's hunt there giving a few pieces each) nor do I. Its 230 acres of soy and hay fields, 47 acres of woods and the remaining 20 acres is three houses and several barns.

I had a productive day yesterday with the septic system being emptied and I brought the snowblower out of storage. It fired right up on the 1st hard pull. Always puts a smile on my face.

The deck wood rack will be topped off.

My dad has a follow-up with the hip surgeon this after. insurance will handle transport. I'll be going along.

Planning to start pouring the slab at 7:30 hopefully it'll be finished before dark.

Nap time later, another 7PM-7AM shift to work...

Morning all. Looks like it will be a nice day today and maybe tomorrow.
We took a quick trip down island the last two days and of course it was pouring rain and windy the whole time. We got a late start on Tuesday so it was really miserable for most of the trip.
Today is chores. We might be putting wood into the basement today.

OK day ahead. 29⁰/56⁰ bright moon out currently.

Our dry weather continues. Almost 9in of rain below average since 9/1.

My dad's followup went well. However, he can't stay at the rehab facility forever. He needs assistance with most anything he attempts/needs to do. My brother has begun the search for a long-term care facility. A new journey for us all.

I'll go for a walk this morning, before a visit with mom.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 52°\66° partly cloudy. Another 7PM-7AM night down, several more to go. After cutting some stumps off yesterday, got to sharpen 2 chains again, then we might clean up a couple trees on our son's place or cut more hickory for the shed.

Yes, that can be sad, especially if he was a good manager. But before happy he made it to retirement and he can enjoy some time doing things he likes
