Same here, super dry and poor mast. Deer are gonna be hungry this season. With the warm temps I guess they're still browsing.

The oaks here produced an abundance of acorns. That should help. Blue jays have been eating them.

Just dumped 1.6" from rain gauge.

White oaks had acorns but not a heavy crop. Red oaks went wild. No walnuts nor hickory nuts this year.

2.25" Saturday night. 2.25" Sunday night and it's been raining all day. We needed the rain bad. Under tornado watch right now. No fire yet. Temps still in the 70's.

61° now. No fire tonight. We had a fire last night. It was about 50° it got a little warm in the house with random Box elder, and a decent sized ugly of honey locust. It got to 84° in the house, even with all the fans on and the stove blower off and sliding patio door open. Oops.

My white oaks had a non-existent crop of acorns this year as well. Extended forecast for central Wisconsin shows mid-October weather here as well...strange

I planned on having a fire tonight, but that may not be necessary. 61° out now and only getting to 47° for a low tonight. It is supposed to be 57° at 2am

    Nope. No fire tonight

Hanging in the 60's for the 10 day. Thur and Fri night down to 38 we'll see if the house needs a fire but most likely I will just let the boiler kick on a couple times. At least I have the wood up at the house when it is needed.

Sitting at 43f with another .75" of rain for the day. Not sure what the total is for the past few days, but we so needed it. Should help the yard get through the winter.

We’ve got 15” of fresh snow this morning - and still coming down hard.

22F outside and 74 inside. I had to light up the Lopi in the gym to get my pump on this morning.

Definitely no fires. Still dry as a bone with local burn bans everywhere. Some clouds but they just won’t give up the moisture.
