I guess since this is the Loaded Truck Pic thred- No where near loaded, but yesterday’s gathering… Mind you, I haven’t firewooded since 2019 due to chronic lower back issues. Had to buy a few pickup bed loads from coworker Scottish 80 over the past few seasons.
Eric VW Are you making firewood and not posting pics? Gonna have to report this to moderating. Nice truck. Something to be said about a white Ford hauling wood.
Nice Eric! I’ve only ever bought one brandy new. 1995 and in a few months we had severe buyer’s remorse over the high monthly payments (they were just over 400 for 5 years). Ended up keeping it and it’s still in my garage to this day.
That was from the Helene blow down at my coworker’s house… she had a fella come over and cut the limbs off and buck to pretty consistent 18” rounds. Me and my buddy took two loads total from it. 16” bar on the li’l ol’ MS170… brought it for some limb wood that was left at length. Part of the first “load” - really only about 2/3 of the 6 3/4 bed… We wanted to get on a blown down cherry at another friend’s house that day (couple weeks ago).
JBYB! I know you've had the back issues and cant do much relating to anything firewood. Nice to see you posting and may it be the first of many.
I think we got out of sync Brad… I posted the comment about my back before your post about pics… and then another long post by me, edited a few times.
No worries. Ive been out of sync for years! I just realized the clocks were supposed to be changed last night...seriously. Keep the pics coming as I'm loving them.
Cut down a boxelder and a few small trees they wanted gone at my son and daughter in-laws house yesterday. The Boxelder would have been right over the above ground pool they will have next summer otherwise it would have been left alone. Brought home one trailer load of wood. Have another to get. Already took a few pieces out of the trailer before I thought to get a photo. I have a 18" bar and this is about as large of a tree as it can handle.
I wanted the 7.3 and the lot had a 2021 F350 with it and the 10-speed plus 4-door. Nice truck and under 100,000 but almost a 50% upgrade over the 2019 6.2 with 122,000 I went with. Just got done doing transmission, transfer case, rear end and oil changes on it today. Ran out of time for the coolant and front axle. To those who have the newer Fords, how are the boxes holding up? This does have a factory spray-in bed liner and thinking of getting a bed mat or slide in liner to help protect the floor.
Been awhile, here are some pics from this year's cache. And in a few weeks, we'll try splitting the elm I picked up from last year.
