I hope our TV’s last, because they are expensive to replace. But I’d love to have a bigger, newer model:binoculars:

That’s one of the best motors GM ever built. My parents had a Buick with a 454 in it when I was a kid. It was bad azz. It would pass anything but a gas station.

It was a car that my dad and uncle built. The original car didn’t even have a big block. They dropped the 454 in it.

First movie on new tv is Here Comes the Boom. It's PG and it's pretty cute.

They have some really good deals on TVs. Not like they used to be. Tv's today cost but a fraction of what they were. Just be careful. Some don't have TV tuners in them so over the air is not possible without one. Just cable hock up.

Thanks Larry, and Horkn said the prices have come down, happy to see they have! Unfortunately we're out of over the air antenna coverage, and no cable hook up out here either. Of all things, our home in N Colo I could get WY antenna channels, but not here in WY :loco:

You are soooo right. I look at today's prices versus what I paid for my TV in 2010 and the difference is pretty big. It WAS pretty advanced for that day and age though, and it has a really sharp picture - not quite as sharp as the higher end TVs these days, but close enough that I still marvel at it sometimes.

My TV does have OTA capabilities, but even when I lived nearly at the top of a ridge at my old house, I could only get the channel that is 30 miles from me (and it was grainy and iffy - depending on weather). Now that I live in the valley 2 miles away, I can't get any OTA channels (even online area checkers agree on that).

All TVs have OTA capability. You need a better antenna. Unless you are in the middle of Wyoming () you shouldn't be too far to get OTA stations. My camper up in northern Wisconsin is 40 miles from the main TV stations and we've always had great reception, when with just a small exterior antenna. The built in antenna that pops up on the camper even pulls in all of the networks. The NBC affiliate that is 25 miles away is a little dicey depending on the weather. Most of the time it's fine, but in some weather it had a slight pixelation, but the sound is good, so it's not much. Maybe an antenna amplifier will sort that out. But it's really not a big enough issue to bother with.

I don't have an antenna at this place. You rarely see those around this area because of the non-reception. Either they go satalite, cable or nothing (no tv). I need cable for my internet anyway, so I'm fine with it. Back at my other house, that was near the top of a ridge so had a chance, we had an antenna and could pull in the state TV stations regularly, and sometimes other stations. But watching football was a no go because of all the fuzziness. When cable came thru we jumped at it so we could actually watch the games (that was before internet was a thing).
