    My wife bought a new shower head yesterday. In bold lettering under Warnings, it states it is For external use only. What??? OMG! Could someone explain this for me? I just can't seem to imagine another use for it...

    That’s a high rolling shower head. Mine didn’t come with a warning either.

    I don’t know why anybody would drink the contents of a battery but there’s warnings about them. Printing warnings is inexpensive, litigation is not.

    I tried to think back and pinpoint when everything got weird, and at first I thought it started about 10 years ago. But... the Rocky Horror Picture Show back in the 70s was weird. Heck, even in the 1920s there were silent movies floating around filled with all sorts of unwholesome stuff. The "artwork" going back to the Roman empire was no cleaner... So I think things were always weird, and we're just in a time where the threshold for things considered taboo has been raised sky high, for whatever reason.

    That’s exactly what I’m saying. The “unacceptable” bar has been raised so what used to be in the shadows and hidden from view is now flaunted and celebrated in the open, and the new taboo is resisting any of it.
