New 22LR:D Tikka T1x . I got it out last weekend and it was shooting ~0.75-1" @ 50 yds straight out of the box with with lame factory stock and cheap ammo. Now, I've put it into a KRG Bravo chassis and a buddy of mine gave me a bunch of higher-grade ammo to try in exchange for lamb:handshake:. Here's the gun with factory stock, with the KRG chassis and the ammo I will be testing this weekend.:dex: 20240830_174426.jpg 20240906_141432.jpg 20240906_170143.jpg

One of the many rifles I’ve built over the last couple years.
Savage model 10 I dropped into a MDT XRS chassis to convert it to a detachable magazine. Swapped the .243 Winchester barrel for a .223 Wylde 1:9 stainless 26” medium Varmint barrel. Trigger was reworked to 2 lbs, swapped the bolt handle and added a bolt lift kit. Went from 9 lbs to work the action to 4 1/2 lbs to lift the bolt. Added an Arca rail to the front for a bipod and to mount to a tripod too.

this is more a training rifle too.
    IMG_1610.jpeg

used it to do some varmint control around the farm.

This is a model 11 I yanked the factory sporter profile .223 Remington off and dropped a .260 Remington medium Varmint. Virtual identical to the .223 rifle.

enough so, the actions and stock/ chassis is interchangeable for which ever setup I want to go with.

Both of these were built for hunting/target and if possible, PRS or NRL.

Oooh! I really like the KRG stock/mini chassis. It is very adjustable and super solid. I started working through the demo ammo my friend gave me to try. Of course, the super expensive ($22/box of 50) RWS R 50 shot the best (0.35-0.65" 10-shots groups @50 yd), but the economy ($4.99/box of 50) Norma Tac22 did really well (0.51-0.63").

Wanted a full size tired of micro compact to try one of these fs ts9s
they were never available in the us before and are military contract overrun and won't be available long taurus said.
Designed by wilhelm bubits i like they Steyr pistols and caracal he did
Has a unique action that locks at the rear of the barrel not a browning design. Screenshot_2024-10-02-21-13-59-491.jpg
Used by Brazilian and Philippine military and police
    Screenshot_2024-10-03-10-33-29-335.jpg
They were around 500.00 a few months ago
    It's 230.00 on gun deals
Rk has a 4.99 shipping special so mine is 255.00 no tax here

Really impressed with this 255.00 pistol
Feels really well made with a nice carrying case and extras IMG_20241004_163047.jpg
Not that 9mm full size pistols are bad
But I couldn't even hardly feel any recoil at all my friends said it felt like a .22 pistol IMG_20241004_163119.jpg
    IMG_20241004_163113.jpg
Fully ambi slide and mag releases
And a little pin pops up on top when loaded
Trigger is a very short double action feeling trigger like the kahr series
I got very good accuracy at 20 yards after some practice IMG_20241004_173903.jpg IMG_20241004_175504.jpg
My friend ordered one after trying mine.

I like full size guns as well. That's a neat design, and a great deal, that's technically a used gun, or new?

    Brand new never issued.
Since they might not be around long
I read taurus is only selling these in the US until they're gone
I wish they'd bring the ts9 compact they also manufacture in but it doesn't appear likely
This pistol has been around since 2018 in foreign markets several did over 20000 rounds in a nato test no issues.
I'm really considering getting the grey version it's 25.00 more and a od green is available as well.
I have smith 2.0s and glocks and caniks these feel every bit as well built and i like the trigger on this better

I went to order a couple of extra magazines and they would've been around 80.00 shipped so for basically 180.00 more than just buying a couple mags
i just went ahead and bought another pistol

IMG_20241017_160940.jpg The tx .22 is very similar in size and operation to the TS9 and makes for a great trainer IMG_20241017_160924.jpg IMG_20241017_160759.jpg

This year going back to my roots with 12 gauges.
Took a few guns out to the patterning board a while back and the winner for this season for both small game and deer is my stoeger condor.

I have a couple of olights. I like them and will buy more. Some people bag on them but those are usually also the same people that say anything less than KAC or similarly priced equipment is trash. I don't buy into that mentality.

I guess i like unpopular stuff
I've been shooting since the 70s people used to hate on mossberg back then
I'm left handed so i always preferred the top mount safety's.
So i had mossbergs i had the hated llama 1911s in the 80s and 90s
Worked just fine and reliable as anything back then
And in 1994 i started buying CZ75 pistols
    Nobody knew much about them
They were only like 300.00 back then
    I shot them in idpa
People hate on the Taurus line
I only had the pt100 .40 in the 90s it was excellent and actually more accurate than my beretta 96fs
I had a few taurus and rossi revolvers no issues.
I know Taurus had a lot of issues with their early polymer pistols
    But a few year's ago i got a g3 it was a good shooter so i bought several g3c
And bought my sister a g2c
They have always been accurate and reliable.
My favorites so far are the ts9 gx4 and tx .22 and tx .22c
I've never used their customer service i never had to but i heard it sucks.
Glock customer service sucks i bought a new glock 22 in the 90s the recoil assembly was damaged and one of the mags had a broken spring
It happens no biggie so i called and they told me i broke it on purpose to get free
    Springs?
    Glock perfection i guess.

These budget olights were only 47.00 shipped so i bought a couple to try out
I've never had a weapon light before. IMG_20241021_182640.jpg
Some friends have them and like them
I didn't want to spend stream or surefire light money.
Lifetime warranty it's held up so far to a couple of magazine's.

Any of youns have a .30 cal Can? Thoughts on it?

I just started shopping and am a bit overwhelmed. I haven't put eyes on this industry for ten years. This started as a 7.62x39 project, but am finding that most are built as multi-caliber units now. Used to be a dozen companies to buy from with a couple models each. Now dozens of companies with up to 8 models just in .30. :hair: Want to stay at a thou or under for the can itself.

Just looking for insight/experiences to better help make a decision.

Tagging along as well. I'd love to have a suppressed x39 AR

This one is going to be a bolt gun. I will be buying subsonic ammo for it. Fairly certain that the Ruger American Ranch (gen 1) is getting tapped after watching a guy throw three consecutive 1" groups at 100 with cheap wolf ammo. I've had a fondness for the cartridge going back to the $115 SKS days. It's the Russian 30-30 they say. I don't really have a good optiong for Yotes and such, thinking this will fill that void. The can is because the neighbors don't need to know when I'm handling business and so I don't need captions when I'm old and crudgedy.

After quite a while of being able to shoot 'quietly', shooting without them almost seems...uncouth.  Like to see a law requiring their use...we can chalk it up to safety. Daddy gub loves safety.
