Hello to everyone. I forgot about FHC...not on purpose though. Had a bad accident a few years ago and was getting better, but then had some real set backs. I just remembered you guys (again). Have some brain issues from the TBI. Glad that I remembered FHC and hope to be here more regular. I will say that I can not preach enough about having 3+ years of wood on hand! I have been burning my stock pile for the past three years. Was all gone and not really able to CSS like I used to. A great guy and friend made sure that I would be in firewood this year and kindly donated enough for the coming winter. Wood folk are good people...not so much 'normal', but good people! Stay Safe!
Well thank you! Yeah, the physical injuries aren't great and some I will have for life, just no fixing them. The brain injury is tough and it really has it's moments...been a big game changer in life. It's funny the things and people you forget and remember out of the blue...I'm still not sure I remember my second wife
Great knowing that you have such a good dude for a friend. Even better knowing that you are worthy of the generosity. Welcome back!
Good to see you shack Hope the TBI issues resolve over time. Perhaps let some of the bad go, and refill with the good.
Good to see you back. Sorry to hear of your woes. Life happens. My GF has a tbi so I can relate. Yeah the three year plan has its benefits no doubt. Good on your friend for helping you out.
Good to see you back shack. 3yr plan was a game changer for me. Then I never looked back and now have 6-7 years c/s/s. Glad someone stepped up to help. That’s the way it should be.
I had an MVA on 7/12/24 and a concussion as a result too. So I get your position. it peaks and wanes every day. Just take it easy. I was told Friday this could take 12-24 months to heal and likely be a lifetime issue for me. don’t be afraid to reach out to your support team when you need to.
Glad to see you back, shack Feel free to reach out to those of us that have endured similar challenges.
I too have had to fight through many problems like that. It is not easy nor is it fun and it seems you sometimes don’t win. But don’t let that stop you.
Yeah, got to do my best every day. The definition of a 'good day' is drastically different nowadays. Took a long time to find the right Dr's and support groups. The change is tremendous and the learning curve has been slow. One thing I learned real fast was not to mention I heat with wood...that went over really bad and I just say I use the thermostat.
