Using the sites cord calculator, 30ft long 6.5ft tall and 3.5ft wide =5.3 cord. At the far end is the pipe that goes out to the septic system I have to stack around I’ll give that a cord on the healthy side so my estimate of 4-5 cord is accurate.

IMG_4184.jpeg Cleaned the pellet stove and venting. Gave it a test fire. Noticed some cracks in the burn pot liner, I have to order replacement. I’m gonna get 2, so the Mrs. Can jus pull the dirty one and drop in the clean one on deck.

Another item checked off the list!

It’s a great feeling to be fully prepped for the season.
This is the only gripe I have for all the chestnut oak I’ve been through over the years. I save the big pieces and burn em.

Still have some stuff to do yet but I’m getting there.

All the bark will get shoveled into the stove. No BTU left behind!

That's a nice looking winter supply of wood. Good job, my friend. Glad that part is done.

IMG_4196.jpeg Today’s chore is to get the shop stove set up and sweep the class a chimney. Not the most fun job as it has to be done bottom up and makes a mess.

There has been a logger working a few miles down the road from me, I have been waiting to catch him at the landing when I drive by. Today he was there sharpening his saw. Old buck, I asked if he sold logs for firewood he said he did and gave me a decent price. I was pretty disappointed with the new guys load I bought last. Have a good feeling about this fella.

It’s gonna be a minute, gotta do some hustling for the scratch. I don’t want to have to dig up any mason jars. I’ll be sure to put up a pic when it happens.

Got our yearly oil delivery today. Would have liked to do something else with the 5 Benjamin’s but hot water and pipes not freezing when we are away is ok too, I guess.

I should probly look into some other way of heating the DHW. I haven’t because I feel like it will just be another appliance that barely makes it past it warranty period.

We use propane for cooking and DHW. About 10 gallons a month
