Wow y’all I haven’t had SOS in so many years think I’m going to ask DW to make a trip down memory lane. After just heating canned goods on our camp stove the last 10 days everything sounds delicious
Oh my, I didn't realize you were out of power. Any storm damage? Ya, I was hungry when I was putting that order in for husband to pick up and everything sounded SO delicious! Here's another, I ate a bologne sandwich for lunch
A couple of weeks ago my area was pretty close to frost two nights in a row (but warmed up nicely during the day). Then the nights got warmer again. But, it may frost this morning yet - it is 33* right now, so it will be light if it happens.
I made Slow Cooker Cheddar Corn with Bacon. I had saved the recipe from FB back in August because it sounded good. With the cooler weather coming up this week, it will be perfect for a warm lunch. Here is the same recipe, but not on FB - you do have to scroll down to the end As per usual, I used the recipe as a suggestion. What I made actually resembles the recipe more closely than usual because I used 5 of the same ingredients: cheddar, corn, bacon, butter and heavy cream - but not necessarily in the amounts proffered. I made several additions and subtractions too
Cleaning the motorcycle up now so i can take the best half for a ride to the apple festival up North.
Put new flooring in the mudroom at a rental house. Relocated the fridge and made a "food prep" area in the kitchen where the fridge used to be. Finished the bathroom and the "stone" doesn't look that great where the old met the new but I'll probably put a towel hook there and it won't be as noticeable when a towel is hanging from it. I don't think I installed the toilet yet when I took this picture. I have to go back and caulk, touch up trim, clean, etc. Putting Halloween blowups in the yard today with my youngest.
Yes, but none to the house, some to the outbuildings and several runs of fencing torn down along with the obligatory 10 or more trees down
I’m pretty sure that my Dad brought the idea of the delicacy back with him from his stint in the Army during WWII. Of course that was before I was even a thought!
