Any day in season is good. I typically like to wait until the weather turns cool enough to hang overnight. I’m going to try first week before he realizes that it’s hunting season.
them buggers like my place but only in the zero dark 30 hours. Pup sounded off again this morning when I let out about 5 am. too dark to see anything.
I just spent a week ATVing at a buddy’s cabin way up north in Douglas County Wisconsin. His trail cam just behind his woodshed has been busy. He has several pics of a mountain lion over the years but this is a bobcat. Short tail.
sorta sucks but it's better than seeing him wounded and no one getting him. Hopefully some other ones move in for rut.
I agree, from where he shot him he made it almost a half mile with good blood. It’s amazing how far he made it on adrenaline. It’d be a shame if he’d ended up vulture food. Now I have the number if I need to track a deer over on his property.
