July 19th, we took the 'Bota to my coworker's house to do a little clean-up job. As I was driving the tractor back to the dump trailer, it started jerking a bit. I checked everything I could see, nothing wrong. It wouldn't pull itself up on the trailer. Went home and got equipment trailer, it has shorter ramps. Finally got it loaded and home. Took it to the dealer the next day, they said 2 weeks before they could look at it...:(:(...well 2 weeks :whistle:became a month...finally got it in a bay August 17...started the tear down...already told us it was $600:eek: to split it...
We went by Wednesday...this is what it looks like now... 20240823_090231.jpg
Valve body sitting on RR tire is part of the problem.
Another problem was this housing has some wear and letting fluid leak by... 20240823_090636.jpg
Found one out west, only one available...thank you, GOD...
    More parts taken off/out... 20240823_090242.jpg 20240823_090631.jpg
Cost estimate is $3400...:emptywallet::emptywallet:. I was expecting more...
Tractor has about 2800 hrs on it, with 90% being a skidder...it has earned it's keep. Probably another 3 weeks before it's home again

Glad it seems you have an answer on it now. Kind of surprised at the parts availability with the kubota name. What year is the tractor? That would have been a big replacement, so I’m glad we’ll continue seeing her in your posts in a few weeks:yes:

Glad you are able to get it fixed up. It sure sounds like they don’t want folks fixing these tractors though. That is irritating.

Maybe it's the way I was brought up but it really pizzes me off when equipment is NOT washed before disassembly.

Sorry to hear this Jeff. I also would have thought the repair would be more expensive-so I guess that’s good news in a weird way. Hope you get it back soon.

Is that a popular part to replace? Kinda concerning that it was the only one available.

Most likely not that common of a part.
or just a supply chain deal, probably still blamed on the rona.

When my brother had a New Holland combine, parts had to be shipped out of Canuckistan on several occasions. Once we got the last part available in North America otherwise it had to come from overseas.

Probably more of a reason being that is an 06 model than anything else.

I have a 2130 John Deere a couple months ago lost the drag link on the steering system. No aftermarket parts available, JD did not have a single one in the US. Had to get it from Germany ordered on Friday, picked it up on Tuesday for $30’ish shipping. Part cost is another topic.

JimBear The drag link has a tie rod end on each end and is adjustable for travel so I didn’t want to use a used part. And naturally, the part that failed on me was the nonadjustable end. I have a couple machine shops that could have made the necessary repairs, but that would cost more than Mother Deere.

I used to drive by Cook Tractor all the time going to the state fair. I bet they have 80 acres or more of tractors and combines.
If you need a loader for a tractor there is a place south of there on 65 that probably has a 100 loaders.

Nice to see you got your tractor back! How long is your dump trailer? That big ol tractor makes it look short.
