Same day, I hunt from the ground only. I have just the spot. Hopefully he will still be around. In the past he will disappear about the time archery season begins and reappear when it is bitter cold. His patterns might be different this year though. The area has a terrible drought. If I had to guess the food sources are going to be much lower than in the past.

This is so funny seeing this. We have had a toad that has been hanging around my house for a couple months now. Every night after dark it goes out and sits in the corner of the overhead garage door under the light and hangs out all night until sun-up then he disappears until the next night. I'm guessing that with the light attracting bugs it is like fishing in a barrel for him. I need to try and get a picture.
Today will be day 9 of 80+ temps and no rain. Several more in the pipeline supposedly. I'm sure a switch will get flipped and it will snow in October.
We have the same situation every year. One was the largest fattest toad Id ever seen. Lol Found the picture. That was its hiding hole.
Kinda like marrying the beauty pageant winner, you can't resist the urge, but ya well know there's gonna be heck to pay...
