That’s usually my go-to. A tablespoon or two of dawn dish soap is usually added. A table spoon or two of dawn dish soap added to a gallon of water in a pump sprayer will kill most bugs and wasps. It suffocates them. Great for stink bugs & box elder bugs on the house this time of year.
Took a trip to Yellow Creek State Park towards Central PA this weekend. Have never fished this lake before. Caught a couple small bass and about a 20" Northern Pike. Had a couple bass spit my lure when they broke water which is cool! Had one yesterday come out of the water right beside my kayak as I was pulling the lure for another cast. The Nothern spit me out right beside the boat as I reached for the phone to get a pic.
Agree Dan...would like to see a picture of the Northern, but at least you didn't have to deal with the teeth!
Did a 3.5 mile float down the Yough river with the wife today. Caught 5 or 6 smallies but nothing big. Had some shallow fast water to deal with and we got stuck a couple times. Towards the end a bald Eagle flew up the river past us. Was an awesome trip.
One of those bastages has been wiping out the fish in my inlaws koi pond.....it just kills them for sport seemingly. Leaves them lay dead, speared to death.
@PADan and @041fanforlife we will be hitting this spot among many others next year if you can come a day early for the GTG. Native trout and lots of them....most on the smaller side but hot damm it's time in the mtns....
Yes sir, if you can be here Thursday we will pack some day gear and go do some serious native fishing all day. We'll take a frying pan and some butter and taters and cook a lunch right on the stream. It'll be epic.
