Think about it some more. You may open the gates of hell. Give it to your poor Husky owning neighbor and mix your own. Please don’t assault your Stihl.

In reality there are only a couple of manufactures of the canned fuel and they probably just private label it I have been using the ASPEN canned fuel for several years now in all my stuff and also selling it at the store . I have no issues with it at all and I ran it 2 years myself before offering it to my customers I like it better simply because you get 1.3 gallons of fuel for the same price as the others in the metal can which is actually only .85 gallons . I have had no issues with any of the other brands , hot weather does not seem to affect the running other than the usual saws do not like 90 degree weather anyway . As to running husqvarna gas in the stihl just be prepared for the stihl to start and run like a real saw   as long as you are running a good product the saws are not smart enough to tell the difference . Just do not do like the one customer did his buddy races old go karts and told him to run "Bean oil" in the gas so he assumed that meant soy bean oil !! and mixed cooking oil in the gas:headbang: needless to say that new stihl (2 days old) did not like that one bit but it was better for the environment no fumes briefly except for the smell of melting aluminum

Please tell me you are joking with the bean oil thing:picard:

I figure, if you absolutely cannot use the fuels interchangeably, there would probably be some kind of warning on them.

NO not joking I am never amazed anymore it just seems to get worse . I used to run bean oil in my racing karts when I ran them on alcohol I think the name was Blendzall I have not run it in years I I also used it in a worked Homelite Super 1050 that ran a alcohol and nitro mix (Very fast firewood saw :D) But this idiot used kitchen cooking oil :headbang::headbang::headbang:

I intentionally ran 40:1 canola oil in a weed trimmer. 3/4 of a gallon of mix and the big end of the rod was sloppy on the crank. It was a mess inside but still running. Nasty smelling stuff too. Lol

I buy 93 eth free and mix my own. Sometimes it Stihl oil, sometimes Husky and Ive even -gulp- a cheaper no name on occasion ( Lord, Forgive me, for I have sinned…). I just put it in a red can and never breathe a word of it to my Stihl saws…. they don’t know the difference…..
