We stayed at the Silverton when we were out there.
Did a lot of wandering around in that store. Didn't buy anything since suitcase space was limited.
Cabela's has a store around 30 minutes North of me, but it is nothing like that one, it is good but not that good.

Anywhere from 2-4 weeks of training out there every year. Last time was OSHA. This time is construction fall protection training.

Picked up these streamers at my local Sportsman's Warehouse. Looking for some small mouth bass in the morning . And fresh line on the spinning reel in case the fly rod lets me down. IMG_20240831_181855112.jpg

Took my new to me fishing Kayak out on the Yough river yesterday afternoon. Got on the water at about 5:15. Paddled up river about 3/4 of a mile and floated back down. Paddled back up a couple hundred yards a couple times when I started getting some smallies. Caught 6 and missed 3. One was a hammer and pulled me across the river a bit. Took a big leap out of the water and spit out my lure.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Was a great afternoon out on the water! damm those smallies can fight. The one I lost was pulling so freaking hard! Can't wait to get back. Just grabbed this kayak from Redfin Saturday night. Working on some modifications now for it. Had to stop as I stirred up some ground wasps by my shed and got hit 6 or 8 times.

No fire will be used! Stopped and bought two cans of spray on the way into work tonight. Hopefully I'm able to find their location when I get home.

If that didn't get em all try a gallon of boiling water down the hole...if it's a large nest they can be tough to knock out.
