IMG_4675.jpeg IMG_4675.jpeg IMG_4676.jpeg With my plan scrounge as much as possible in the next several months, I’ve decided to extend and “upgrade” the rest of my wood stacks to the wooden rack in picture. I will move the pictured dry wood to the new racks made as I go and continue adding the rack down the hill. I will plan to make a double row. I started making the racks a few yrs ago and would like to see all my drying wood on them. More efficient use of space, neater, sturdy. Beautiful weather today so this was a good time making this today. Sorry I think there’s a duplicate pic in there.

You might want to put a block under the middle of that rack. My guess - it'll sag when weight is added.

Good call. I usually make sure to do that, But I need the right size block or maybe dig out the ground a tiny bit bc it may too high there at the moment.

Nice looking set up there Steve. Sure beats cribbing the ends

I have a similar rack and a couple things I learned. Be sure the blocks are level back to front. Put a wood block on top of the cement blocks and tap with a sledge to embed them more into the ground. Check with a level. Mine started to lean as I didn't do this. :emb: Setting a second rack parallel to the first then attaching them together with a 2x4 will make it a lot more stable.
