At the name calling and threatening cops…

truck would have been unloaded in a rather fast manner and left.

her husband can deal with her shenanigans…

I thought of that this morning. I wonder what Scotty Overkill's reaction would be to receive a $100 check from some lady in Connecticut.

    1. Go back for more
    2. Thank her husband when you leave
    3. Leave a thank you card with a 100 dollar monopoly bill in it in the mailbox.

You could have told her : better yet, to give you a hundred dollars for the clean up and you'd donate it to charity

    Wow! That’s a nervy maneuver.
Now Brad has probably met more people on FHC than anyone else but even those he hasn’t met have probably determined he’s not a beggar or heartless. The guy will help anybody.
Now let’s play juxtaposition here. This woman is asking the town beggar for $100? LOL What the hell does that make her? Karen’s not a mean enough terminology. That’s Scrooge material.
You handled it well Brad and that’s what I’d expect from you. There’s no meanness in the guy.
I on the other hand can have a streak when I feel wronged. It’s my opinion you should head back tonight with a can of spray paint and mark those logs “Do Not Take”. Let the log truck roll on by and let her keep her wood :)

You dealt with that very well. If you see the tree guy again you might want to let them know what went down.

Not that it matters as it's said and done, but ownership of the wood crossed my mind too. They hired a tree cutter to fell and dispose of the wood. At that point the Tree Comany owned it and gave it to Brad. Afraid she sounds a lot like my MIL and I know that game too well. Use you to virtue signal at your loss.

Yeah, that poor old guy having to live with that. I'd stay away just to cut him some slack. I really don't feel I need to win some kind of battle with an old lady. Who knows why she is the way she is and I really don't want or need to know. On to Cincinnati.

You should have said, "how about you pay me $1000 to clean up your mess and I will donate $100 to your favorite charity"!!!!!

If that is the case, she should demand a partial refund from the tree company since they did not fulfill their agreement.

Who knows? Sounds like she may have already tried doing this since the wood is still in her yard!

So concerned with local charities and the underprivileged, yet so quick to resort to name calling and personal attacks…..I’ll let you do the math. Her husband wasn’t home and she saw the opportunity. You’re anything but a beggar. From everything you’ve posted, you go above and beyond when cutting on others property. Very undeserved, Brad. Don’t let it slow you down any! Honestly, I don’t trust she would have written the check.

You should get a business sign that says work done by “town beggar” and start posting them in yards where you get wood:rofl:
