Thats what it looks like. The were owned by Hearth & Home Technologies IIRC.

Edit, Looks like HHT still owns the brands, But spun them off into their own group. And I'm late too. Happened last August 2023. :(

    HHT Announces Forge & Flame

Stay clear of their appliances too. I know of more than 1 case of serious issues with very new units.....washer/dryers, 'refrig, dishwasher, etc.

I have Samsung a front load washer and electric dryer (large capacity for both) set. I got them December of 2013 and have not had any issues with them (KOW). But I haven't had any other appliances of theirs, so can't speak to those.

When I was researching mini splits in 2021, I was hesitant about theirs just because they were new in that market. I'm not sure that any of the installers I spoke to dealt with them anyway so it really never came up.

I used to see -18 to -20 on a regular basis in Jan-Feb in my area. Haven't hit that for probably 5-6 years. The Fujitsu Halcyon HFI system I have is good to +5*F but by the time it is in the low teens and windy out, I am ready to start the main floor pellet stove because it "feels" cold. I'm sure that they have improved the systems over the few short years I've had mine - and seriously when I bought I did not even pay attention to these things putting out heat,I just wanted AC, so I wasn't looking for anything that would heat down in the negative numbers.

BTW, there is a heat pump thread that you may be interested in perusing.

Me read it, seems no one knows of the hyper heat units and since we are dealing with a cyclical beast one plans for a full cycle as a certain party has all ready discovered that way yous covered and not cold btw BP goes up when yous cold.

Stoves have the least problematic controls. I still have the Samsung stove the previous owner installed, and no problems either. But as soon as I have some extra $$, it's going to a new home and replacing it will be a nice LG unit.

So far so good. Haven't had to run a power cord or start the genny out in the garage since installation. :D

Added a cheap used 2KW inverter and using one of my boat batteries as I don't want the power station out there in the cold. That works just as well as the power station. Hoping to pick up 2 more and a 8KW inverter so I can use that instead of the gas genny to run the new air compressor or my welder.

Hope to install the solar charge controller next week to charge the 12V batteries.

Not a fan of Samsung stuff but Lori got a Samsung phone back in Feb cause it's one of the very few Android phones that supports her Dexcom glucose monitor app.

We have a front load Samsung washer and dryer, about 6 yrs old. Both are working without repairs. We have them raised up on bases because they are so deep that we can't bend over and reach into the backs of the machines.

You might want to get moving if you want to get it installed this year. We really like our mini split for both heat and cooling. Make sure you check out state rebates.
