Yes....I've tried to cook hotdogs and what not on that side before. In a pinch it works but I'd never go out of my way to cook on it. Stuff is just a pain to get in/out of it. Works pretty good as a firebox though....well...if you don't mind the fire grate rusting out every couple years which is the chargriller way. I always end up replacing it with better stuff. I've also cut those cast iron food grates down and used those as the fire grate
I need to design a rig to move my smokers to/from the barn. I have a frame from an old pop up that I'm going to build into a yard type trailer to haul stuff around with the quad. I just need a decent way of getting the smokers onto it and securing them so they don't tip over. The vertical joe I have is very top heavy. It worries me more than the chargriller.
If you want to build your own,the wheel/tires and hubs are at steeling golf cart on ebay...I made my own spindles.
That’s what you get when the state has unlimited $$$$$ to buy new vehicles and $$$$$ for road salt. In my humble opinion, That there is testimony to the govt not giving a crap about the little guy. As someone who just failed inspection solely for rust related issues, I’d like to shake his hand for keeping that thing on the road!!!
He said something about kissing my "cheek" I found really strange, but that's how them dodge boyz roll...
