69.8ºF inside. It's a little cooler by an open window. We have a couple of days of not sunny weather coming up and I'll probably have to close all the windows due to lack of heat gain during the day. Tempted to remove the window A/C for the season.
You all just keep bragging on your temps. I can live vicariously through your posts. Looks like I have a week of heat then a cooling off period. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
88 today followed by 3 days of 90's and then 3 days of 80's before it gets back into the 70's on next Saturday. The 3 days of 90's are also going to be humid. Good time to stay inside. I did get some wood split and stacked this past week when it was in the 79's with low humidity and a nice south breeze. Working in the shade helped too.
I actually still like the heat during the day, but as I get older I find it difficult to fall asleep unless the room is cool. Often it isn't cool until daybreak which is a lousy time to be falling asleep, plus a fan doesn't help while it is still warm outside. Hence I bought a window A/C. Turn it up during the day, down at night. Helps dry the house out a bit in the Summer. Some of the new modern miracle fabrics get moldy too darned easy. If I'm going to run a dehumidifier I may as well run an A/C. I'm only a couple miles from the beach so it is a little cooler here during the day than it is not too much further inland, but it is cooler not colder. Hot and even hotter are both hot.
Cooled off to a frigid 98 here today. Felt pretty good after 106 on Saturday and 104 Sunday. Definitely have not processed any wood the last 2 months. It’s even been too hot to swim this summer. I think I mentioned a while back that if it wasn’t for cutting grass and pool maintenance, summer would be my 4th favorite season. Definitely need to move a few hundred miles north.
