Good morning sisters and brothers. Temperature is finally dropping to turn one’s mind to cutting and clearing. Up before the dawn waiting for coffee to finish, and wait for a barn cat to show for her breakfast.

Seems I have a buck making regular visits at the house. Happy to see him even if he is young.

Good morning everyone! I've been having some sleeping issues lately caused by indigestion. Through the process of elimination, cucumbers seem to be the culprit. I love them, but I guess it's part of getting old.

    Good morning, members.

OK day ahead. 59⁰/81⁰ humidity ok, but on the rise.

Off for a walk this morning, before heading to the Town barn to get rid off several things. It's the town's annual Hazardous Waste Disposal day.

Later this afternoon, we'll be off to my BIL's for a cookout/birthday party. I'll have my Thermacell with me, as I'm sure there will be a campfire.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Good morning. It is supposed to be hot for a few days here…maybe in the 90s tomorrow. We are going for an e-bike ride this morning, then go out for lunch.

Try scraping out the seeds and peel most of the skin off. That should help with digesting.

Already tried that route, but thanks. The only other thing I can think of is marinating in vinegar.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. 66°\89°, clear. First night almost done. Not sure of the agenda this morning, Had plans to have a group go cool-seal a widow's trailer roof that's leaking, but don't know if that will happen. If not, we will set up splitter and conveyor, cut some oak...
Share a smile, lend a hand, be encouraging,

Morning all. Looks like the sun is coming out today. We were traveling in a thunderstorm and rain yesterday afternoon. Fortunately we got past it so it was nice when we got to set up.
Long story short. We had a bearing burn out on the trailer the day we were going to catch the ferry. Newfoundland is quite different when it comes to repairs. We ended up with a new, heavier axle replacement as the stub axle was damaged. Answer to prayer as there was only one axle available on the island that would come close to fitting. It had been sitting a parts shop for quite awhile as it was shipped in by error. The shop that did the work doesn't do roadside repairs any more - haven't for years but in this case, did all they could to get us back on the road. Without that axle, it would have been 8 to 10 wks before another was available, maybe more as there is a railway strike/issues going on in the rest of Canada.
Rebooked our ferry to leave Newfoundland so we can do a bit more exploring.

The landowner was looking for workers. At 6:00 AM he found some in the marketplace and hired them for the day and promised to pay them a day's wages. During the day, he continued to hire more workers, even up to the last hour of the day. When pay time came, he started to pay the ones hired last, first. They received a day's wages. He continued to pay each worker the same wages even up to the first ones hired. They thought they should get more as they were hired first. The landowner said that they had agreed on the wages at the beginning of the day and that was what he was paying them.
The story seems a bit odd when you first read it but look at it from a spiritual view point. It doesn't matter when we accept Jesus as our Saviour. He offers the full gift of salvation to each one of us, whether we follow and serve Him all our lives or come to Him near the end of our life. Today, take time to accept His love and salvation. Don't put it off until later.

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. Acts 10:34, 35

    Happy Sabbath, everyone.

Good morning. My wife and I are making the coffee at church this morning. We are typically brewing pots for 2-3 hours straight depending on the time of year. Summer weekends are usually a little lighter, with less fervent coffee seekers, but the dead of winter really ups the output! I bring a pail for all the coffee grounds and filters for my ongoing garden composting operation.
