Came upon a Ruger Mini 30 stainless recently at a great price. NIB. Snapped it up just because. Legal for deer here. My Uncle in Texas had a mini 14 ranch rifle for his pickup truck at the ranch in Uvalde and I remember it was a heck of a lot of fun to shoot when I was a kid. These rifles somehow escaped the assault rifle ban here in WA St. I put a Leopold 2-7 scope on it which seems a good match. I have no experience with the mini 30 other than what I have read. Any body here own one? This is a very late serial number gun. Thanks
Nice! I have both a mini 14 and mini 30....I like em both.... not incredibly accurate but plenty good for their intended purpose. Is far as I'm concerned they are way better than AR's.....but that's just me, I just can't develop any likeage for the AR....other than the Lego-ability of em... I guess.
Picked up a Kahr CW9 Friday. Coworker bought it on an impulse buy then needed money. Got it for 200 nib. Shot amag through it and like it. Not the best trigger, long reset.
Sild the Kahr today for 325. Putting it towards a 82 model Remington 700 BDL 30-06. Wearing an era correct Redfield. Will show pictures tomorrow.
Today a feral pigeon was setting where that red dot is on the peak of the barn. I took him out from the position the picture was taken from. This is all we could find.
Thank you. Only a 110 yard shot. The rifle is CZ527 varmint in 17 hornet with a Bell & Carlson varmint stock. 6-18x40 Leopold VXII scope. Hand loads clocking 3800 fps.
Wild, feral....lol 20 grain Vmax over a max charge of 1680. According to the Hornady load book. Its what it likes.
Very nice. When I had my retinal detachment I was told by the doctors that recoil and the concussion would cause more damage. I sold alot of stuff. Long story short they were wrong and now I'm building back up. One of these is on my list. I had an early bule and walnut Redhawk 44. Wanting another one.
