You might be a wood hoarder if......

...... your bar oil hoard is part of your will!

37 gallons! :faint: Think the most I've ever had at once was 5-6 gallons.

Same here. I was thrilled when it was $11.99 on sale

I definitely won't be stocking up at these prices. I'd grab one at $11.99 but not two.

The machine shop in town here is hiring, good school & lower cost of living.

If I didn’t already have 200 gallon of bar oil, I would price match & clean out all 3 of the local Tractor Supply’s at $4.99 gallon.

We have 3 with about a 30 mile radius.

I’ve always felt like a displaced small town resident :) I’ll have to pitch the idea to my wife sometime. Heck I’ve joked with her in the past about moving to Iowa, whenever she’d complain about all the tall trees in our backyard. It’s such a rat race out here in the megalopolis and I definitely wouldn’t mind leaving if it was in the cards…

Here are the 3 local Tractor Supply prices on County Line bar/chain oil.

Quite a variance from 3 stores in a small area.

I've said this before...Go in to your local TSC store and they WILL price match bar oil from one of their other stores. All you have to do is pull up the price on your phone and show them the cheaper price.

Just a quick anecdote in regards to oil...

Chatting with co worker this morning and bar oil came up. (he's a "lame/casual") He tells me that the local Stihl dealer said that 'cheap/junk' bar oil was the reason his ?MS2something? oiler was 'plugging up'. I chose not to rebut. He now pays whatever it costs to buy Stihl branded oil. A gallon probably lasts him a year or better I would guess.

So I did a little messing around on TSC website. If you make your shopping store Alliance OH 44601 it will show bar oil at 4.49 but not available so then it will give you an option of picking up at another store/search by zip. I tried CT then bumped it to quantity 5 and it priced it at 4.49 each.
Edit : when you set your store to Alliance then search bar oil it will show the oil at 4:49 with a box below to search for find in store. I just tried Scranton PA it worked for that as well.

Stopped by the local Tractor Supply they had a display with 11 gallons at $11.99. I asked the manager about price matching other stores, and she said they did, PA was a different region and less demand so it was cheaper there. She asked that I not clean them out, so I got 5 gal at $5.99 each, I was happy with that.

Earlier this week I ordered from Blain’s Farm & Fleet, 10 gal max order, and got free shipping. So now there’s 10 gal of Mystic on the way as well. Plan on stopping by another TS store tomorrow when we go visit the in-laws so I’ll get another 5-10 gal. That should help rebuilt the back stock in the garage. I was down to my last 10 gal and have a ton of cutting coming up.

If that was my garage, that would be considered put away.
