Can I use Husky fuel in a Stihl saw?

I apologize if this has already been asked...

Just like the title says, I'm always curious if there is a major difference between Husky and Stihl pre-mixed fuels? I typically purchase the cans of pre-mixed fuel out of pure laziness.

I've had a hard time finding the Stihl pre-mix, which I normally use. But the shelves are always fully stocked with Husqvarna pre mix. Can I use it in my Stihl MS460? The Husky fuel is a little bit cheaper at my local Big R as well.

    Thanks, friends!

The pic is just because everyone loves firewood in the back of a truck! It was a small, free delivery to the lady who watches my dog when I'm out of town. That's about all she burns in a typical winter.

Will be completely fine. Your Stijl won’t know the difference.

It's mostly just branding. I only use jaso class d oils. They are better than the class b or c oils. I also mix @32:1
I used to mix 50:1, but saw light scuffing on pistons after hard use.

I wouldn't chance it. I can dispose of any unused Hoosqer fuel you may have on hand.

Jeeze, that's a tough call. A couple years ago I had to buy some Stihl bar oil. I poured it into a Husqvarna jug to make myself feel right using it.

Your saw will likely start to lose miscellaneous bolts, nuts & parts just like the husky’s do, if you run that stuff.

Now if you could find some Dolmar fuel, it would improve both Stihl & Husky saws, making both realize their real potential.

Now, if you really think about it, find a jug of XS fuel...
That will bring out the best in all saws...:salute::salute:

I run Husky fuel all the time, it's great. Tractor Supply has VP fuel and it also works great. Red Armor from the Echo dealer is great. The only fuel I have never run is Stihl. Go figure.

In the winter, True Fuel is okay. In the summer when temps are in the 100's True Fuel doesn't even run in my saws without a lot of tuning. Anyone else experience this?

I don't cut in hot temps. Can't stand the heat. I got heat stroke nearly every day one year and it really put the hurt on me. I can' work if it's over 80. I ised to be just fine in the heat, but those days seem to be over. I have a couple packs of stihl oil that were given to me, but I don't want to run it because it is only jaso fb, not fd.

Well, I’m out of Stihl Motomix. Stihl Motomix is 35 bucks a can!

Husky 50:1 mix is 28 bucks a can.

Hang on tight, everyone. I’m doing it…
