Grey birch?

    Looks like black birch to me (definitely not gray) and the smell and weight description fits... It's strange how the bark isn't more fissured for that size tree though.

    Black birch for sure. Great BTU’s. Maybe a faster growing one with the smooth bark

    Im saying black birch too. Under rated firewood IMO.
