Just for the record, if I never see another deodorant commercial on TV, I'd still sleep ok at night!

There is an obvious reason no one has ever escaped this jail!

Nobody ever escaped from the old Borden County jail in Gail, Texas. That's because the jail, built in 1896 and shown here as it appeared in 1977, was pert near impregnable. Built at a cost of $4,500 by the Diebold Safe and Lock Company, it had 2-foot-thick outside walls made of stone from nearby Gail Mountain, and 12-inch hardened steel plates in the cell walls and floor. Even today, the chunk of Gail Mountain from which the stone was taken is clearly visible from the town. In 1956, two prisoners objected to Sheriff Sid Reeder's attempt to place them into one of the jail's cells when they noticed a rattlesnake sleeping inside. It still stands though it is no longer used as a jail.

This is the plan to force people to get solar, to the massive benefit of the political class which bought in years ago for pennies on the dollar. This what happens when there’s nobody there to regulate the regulators.

Our bill used to be around $60 in the winter and $90 in the summer just a couple years ago. Summer bills are now in the $150-200 range.

For what it’s worth there are 6 people living in my house sucking up electricity and I’m there the least. But yeah this past month being high 80s low 90s every day, the window units were running constantly

Well, you answered some of the questions I had.

    That's a lot of laundry/showers.
Still I'd :faint:to get that bill.

^^^ this $950 is closer to a mortgage payment than a monthly utility bill

    Holy crud man! :faint:
    Can't like that one!
That is literally a whole year for us...family of 4, all electric home, except for wood heat, but the blower on the wood furnace runs almost 24/7 when its heating...then in the summer we have whole house air that runs some, and a window unit that runs a lot...plus an attic fan that runs all day on sunny days.
I am so thankful we have a community owned (not for profit) power plant locally!

I just received my electric bill: I owe $35.41 and is due August 14. I guess it won't break the bank.

The online weather says we were getting full Sun all day yesterday and today. It hasn't happened due to the haze which I assume is wildfire smoke from out west.
