Texted husband that I was bug bombing one side of the house with kid's bedroom so she or her/I are sleeping on the couch tonight. Ooops, auto correct turned it into Big bombing. Sorry honey, everything's fine :) :emb:

This old house, a short walk from my house, is seeing some serious work. First they built a shed, then a foundation was poured and a new building is getting put together fast. I suspect it will be a total replacement for the old house.

I have two stars on my garage. I relate to them as they are on our flag. I also have a flag flying high up on a pole.

Yesterday afternoon I got out and mowed a few spots in my yard that needed it - mainly near/at drainage areas. First mowing I've done since 7/2/24. The rest of the yard is on that edge where I'm dithering:
    • looks like chit because some of the weeds are pretty tall in comparison
    • but doesn't look too bad when viewed at a distance (like from the road)
    • the grass that is there is barely high enough for mowing - and in many places is scraggly
    • no potential for rain until the end of next week so I don't want to stress what grass is there
    • the ground is dry so I don't want to tear it up with turning the mower
I'll just play it by ear thru the weekend. It may totally depend on if we get decent dew in the mornings. But the air mass is pretty dry with low humidity, so I'm thinking no more mowing until next weekend or later.
