Glad to be of help, brother. A little bit at a time adds up. We didn't cut any tonight, thunderstorms kept rolling through.

Ha! That's funny! I also put on the work clothes and did some more cutting/cleaning up of the 22" ash I dropped last month......(yeah, last month)

The top is just about done being hauled of of the woods to the burn pit and I have a pile of limbs dragged out to the edge of the yard where I can cut and split them later this year. The main stem is still laying on the ground.....tempting and taunting me to think of some way that I can have some beams milled from it......:sherlock:

We got another call Monday from the campground. They had more oak and a couple pines taken down...
We hauled the oak home, had to cut some shorter, their saw had quit on them... 20240724_102306.jpg
A bit tail heavy, but Godzilla handled it fine 20240724_102353.jpg
Came back and got the pine for the chip mill...cut them 14-17' long... 20240724_113630.jpg
2.32 tons, not a big load, but only had to go across town to deliver, make a little gas $$ 20240724_122227.jpg

Bagged a half cord plus this morning of wood rescued from the burn pile. About one face cord was 16-48" cutoffs of white oak veneer and stave logs. Beautiful stuff and I get to sell it for firewood.

All that RV stuff will keep you busy bucking and splitting for next week or two. Rare that I get to buck up long straight limbless logs. Fun cutting.

Haven't gotten the check from the buyer yet, it's usually $22 or so per ton.
Wish it had been a full load, but mill is just a few miles from the campground

I've heard that pine is fine for burning outdoors. Would have been ironic if you cut, split and then sold it back to the campers at this RV place.

I've thought about asking the owner if he wants to sell farwood for the campers
