Sorry to hear it. I'm dreading the next stack I find fallen over.

I give you a lot of credit stacking on the hill at your place. Not an easy task.

I moved the fan around 3 different racks today. Ran for about 12 hours total. It may come out again tomorrow afternoon.[IMG]

Sucks to have a stack come down. I really hate doing a job twice. All the more reason to sell it and move it out!

Did you check to see if the wood got any drier?

Humidity is going up here again. :picard:

Its been leaning for some time and I kept pushing it back. With the heat it dried enough to topple. Appeared to be over a week since it fell over.

I got a request for five bundles delivered last night. Ten is the minimum. I asked location and a few minutes from the store I had an order from. Before I replied he offered $10 more than my price...sold. Needed it today. Offered a bundle of kindling and said no.

Assembled what I needed and delivered to both this afternoon. IMG_5815.JPG 50 bundles total. My two FBM sales have been very small but at least I'm getting my feet wet.

Noticed my other two local stores are getting low. One is on auto delivery so he'll get refilled next week. Ill call the other and ask.

Still have a face cord of old red maple I want to list and bags of framing lumber scraps too.

Hope it turns out to be a good weekend sales wise for you.

One of the totes dried quite a bit. It was a living tree 3 weeks ago and I'm already selling some of the smaller barkless splits.

Sounds like you're getting there! Before long you'll be the firewood Uber. My average bundle sale is 4 (which I sold yesterday and again today). Casual and recreational burners like the convenience of getting wood as needed and will pay a premium.

Picked up another load of basswood Saturday. Resplit and filled a tote the same day. I finished resplitting the rest and filled another tote yesterday. Stacked out to 1/2 cord total. I guess Big Red really can haul that much even with the tool box. I'm feeling a little like buZZsaw BRAD! [IMG][IMG]

I don't often take time to relax but the view from the front yard at the end of the day yesterday was just about perfect.[IMG][IMG]

It looks great covered by the bed unloader. You can't see the scratches and dents!

Here's the home of the mud dauber that nailed me Saturday. It's on the back side of a rack of rounds in my storage yard. I had no idea it was there until it was too late...[IMG]

Almost looks like a white faced hornets nest. Nasty things.

I discovered the beginning of yellow jackets nest under a trip a couple weeks back. Got stung. I got rid of it. Don't encounter bees too often in the stacks.

Ive got too many piles of splits to stack. (who would've guessed) Been wanting to build a new rack from reclaimed lumber as I'm redoing part of storage. Finally got to work yesterday. PT lumber from a couple decks I demoed and some scrounged 2x4's. It is 6x12' with wood stacked to 4' tall so will hold only two cords. Ill build a second one next to it. Have to finish the ends yet IMG_5823.JPG IMG_5824.JPG IMG_5825.JPG

Yeah, that looks like a paper nest. If they are bald faced hornets they don't fly around asking questions or assessing the situation, they just attack and stick it in deep. They are aggressive little puckers.

I never even saw the little monster that got me. It was a stab and run. And I haven't seen anything flying around the nest either. It's getting a good soaking with wasp and hornet spray soon.
