That looks to be basically the same as my DR push whacker as I call it. I'm impressed with it. Mine was free though. I just bought this trimmer line for mine and it works great. It's .155 but the twisted design really works well and when after blasting Burdock "trunks" there's was no sign of wear. I bought 5lbs of this square stuff It's much thicker than the .105 that came with it I cut for over 30 minutes and didn't change line the orange stuff didn't last Long at all And the .170 square cuts very smooth and clean compared to the orange.
Same stuff I have, but I have the commercial 4mm flavor. No idea the difference between "Commercial" and "Heavy Duty".
I don’t think that’s the issue for feeding but the bump button on the head is worn down. When those cutouts start to show that’s stihls way of telling you that you need a new head.
Z Have you tried the echo speed feed trimmer heads? Everybody's trimmer i fix they have me install one I prefer them to everything else myself.
You have the better stuff. I contacted them directly, here is what they said. When I bought mine, I had the choice and thought commercial would be better. I was wrong. LOL
I bought it because 5lbs was 43.00 shipped lol If there's better line out there i haven't used it That's good customer service usually i never get any answers to anything.
I thought the same thing. My email was answered at almost 10pm my time within about 12 hours of sending it. I can only imagine how their Heavy Duty product line is, as their commercial stuff I have is darn impressive in itself.
I adopted Echo's square line and have not looked back. Some tell me their black line is even better, but I am happy with performance and price of the Crosscut or whatever they call it. Previously used Husky's silver line which does not break as often but also does not cut as well, especially at lower RPM where I am 80% of the time.
I have a roll of dewalt line and it is the worst trimmer line I have ever used. It was the only thing the store had at the time. A friend gave me some red stuff, maybe commercial, and I am going to try it.
