Now I just gotta figure out how to use it. That might be awhile, to much stuff going on.

I'll be having a Timberline to get rid of...

I bet if you keep the Timberline around you will find additional uses for it. Several members have multiple grinders which are setup for different functions & it saves them time by not having to reset the grinder all the time.
    - One for right hand cutters
    - One for left hand cutters
    - One for rakers
3/8" chain vs .404 chain, ... lots of options.

I'd love to have multiple grinders, but the Timberline is a clamp-on-the-bar, hand operated sharpener. It might be handy to have in the field, but the cutter profile created with it and a grinder are way different.

    Nice find!

Are you sure that isn't a model 510 with the looks of the clamping mechanism?

That's what I thought when I saw the pics in the posting, but...

Maybe it is older? The seller said it belonged to his late father. He already had his own and didn't need another.

Yeah now that I have a 511ax I want a cheap horrible fright grinder to set up as a dedicated depth gauge grinder.

Sorry Jeff, I was thinking you were replacing a "Timber Tuff" grinder, not a jig grinder.:emb:

I'm not sure the Hazard Fraught grinders can be set up as raker units without custom shaping a wheel for them. The head angle is not adjustable on the ones I have seen.

That's right, The head angle is not adjustable.
That's what I'm going to do, custom shape a wheel for it, when I get around to it

Huh,..........I'll be. Looks like I finally made a mistake. I should know better than to let my steamship mouth over run my row boat a$$.
