Ouch. At least the person who did it left a note.

IMO, if that's a bolt-on step, I'd contact the trailer manufacturer and inquire about their nearest dealer.....original parts are best. If it's welded on, I'd still try to get a OEM replacement, but you'd have to get a body shop to remove the bent one, weld on the new, and paint.

Unfortunately, Its a weld on step. :(

The Boat shop/dealer didn't want to touch it. Contacted a weld shop. Gonna stop over tomorrow so he give it a look see. Doubt it can be straightened, Most likely a cut and weld project. If not, We'll have to see if a body shop will consider doing the repair.

I sealed two seams in a gutter and a leak where the rubber boot met the PVC of the kitchen stink pipe. All from a ladder on uneven ground and the roof. Not my cup of tea at all.

Removed all the gutter downspouts on my new abode. Believe it or not, the previous owner had installed all of them upside down.....water leaked from every joint when it rained. I re-installed the correct way, flushed the gutters, and started installing new gutter shield.

Also repaired some skirting and vinyl siding. Winter is on the horizon.

Yep, sold it beginning of July. The new place was cheap, much smaller than previous place, but needed a TON of work.
    About 25 minutes north.

And why did you take that risk. You KNOW what happens to us old gas'ers when we go where we ought not! It isn't worth it. Not at all.

Yes, I know what happens. I just wanted it done and out of the way, trying to get everything caught up from my spring fancy ice dancing.

I'm over 30 and probably shouldn't be doing a lot of things, hell got to do something.

The price is too risky. I doubt there are many out more stubborn, um, I mean determined than older men, but the body and mind are not in sync. Remember when you cautioned me not to trim my hedge. I did it my way and tore my shoulder up. Then this past year, fell three times. I'm banned from going up the ladder.
So now if I can get help, something's get done. Otherwise it justs sits, while I go do therapy three times a week.

Your chicken hasn't seen spring for a long time. Small wonder why there are still a few feathers left. Hope you don't try to fly.

Hey, I've got all the feathers I ever had, haven't lost a single one. Now the burning question is what is imacman going burn this winter, propane?

I hope not. I was hoping he'd try to break the 'longest burn without opening the door' record this winter. I believe he is still the record holder.

Jay a good fabricator should be able to hook you up. If a body shop won't do it look for a truck/trailer repair shop or a shop that installs plows and truck implements. They usually have a few guys that are great welders and cutters. If the trailer is from a bid company they may sell the piece you need and have the fab shop weld it in.

Sucks you have to do it at all, but hey no one was hurt so a get to fish again tomorrow !!

Well, hate to have to say this, but yes, propane will be burning here. The place came with (2) 120 Gal tanks that were FULL (and free)!

Once they're almost empty, they'll be replaced by friend I play golf with who is also one of the owners of a fuel oil/propane co. I'll be getting a VERY good price on the propane (under $2/gal). The furnace was replace a few years ago, is a 95% efficient unit, and was serviced before I bought the place.

When I put that price into the fuel calculator, and the furnace efficiency in, I'm within about $2.00/million btu's of pellets. For not having to go buy pellets, stack them, lug them into the house, clean the stove, etc, etc, I can live with that.

The "new" house also has a gas fireplace, but I don't plan on using that much, if at all. It's old, and the company is out of business, so if it takes a crap, or doesn't run at all, I'll probably rip that out next summer and maybe put a small pellet burner in....an Enviro Mini or something like that.

67 in the house this morning, 41 outside. Left the windows open too long last night and lost all the heat. Looking around for frying pans:whistle:

Anyone want to wager precisely when imacman gets tired of propane and has a pellet stove? I'm saying mid December.

Looks like my best bet is the local weld shop. He's doing an estimate for me.

If I had access to a welder, I could do this myself. Machinist by trade and welding is also in my bag of tricks. I just might say the heck with it and go buy a decent 110 mig........ We'll see.
