Two ash logs going to friend with Alaskan mill in exchange for a slab or two. Two pin oak logs going to friend with band mill, and the rest firewood once this heat breaks. I’m soaked and did nothing but drive the truck and tractor.

And couple pics of pinoak log and skilled operator taking it down in tight quarters

Nice loads of prime oak. I can't imagine working out in this heat. We were over triple digits yesterday ambient temp. No staining so hopefully you don't encounter any metal.

Love ash. Never had pin oak but I'm sure anything oak is great. Was this a job where the tree service needed a site to unload the logs or is this someone's property that gave the score to you?

I take my trailer to job site when arborist schedules me, and he fills on site as they have gear there, then I haul home and process at my place. Of course this happens when their customer does not want wood left, and also when trees that don’t make great lumber are involved (pin oak). For logs that do make great lumber like white oak, walnut, cherry etc I pay them by the approximate board footage they will yield then haul to mill.
